Musician and EYO Administrative Assistant Jade Swinford is a 2023 graduate of Gadsden City High School. She is currently attending Gadsden State Community College and will transfer to the University of Alabama in Birmingham to pursue a Music Technology degree. 

 

Jade Swinford started her music path taking vocal and piano lessons with Cheryl Stafford Moorer in 2015. At Gadsden Middle School, she studied both cello and viola under Claudia Shelton. There she also learned flute and oboe under Brian Bankston. She continued to play viola throughout high school while also picking up violin and guitar.

 

She is an alumnus of the Etowah Youth Orchestra, which she was part of since 2017. Starting in 2019 she was an active member of the Jacksonville State University Civic Symphony. In the summer of 2023, Jade joined the Gadsden Symphony Orchestra. She has recently been a fiddle player for Theatre of Gadsden’s 2023 production of  “Always, Patsy Cline,” and Whole Backstage Theatre’s production of “Bright Star.”
